PerkinElmer have three core division which Life and Analytical Sciences (Pty) Ltd support these are:

• Bio Discovery – Focuses on three areas:  Bioanalytical research, population screening and clinical diagnosis.  The life Sciences Unit designs, manufactures and markets high performance bionanlytic and diagnostic instrument systems for use in hospitals, clinics and pharmaceutical and medical research facilities.
• Analytical Instruments – Operates in four markets:  analytical instruments, security & screening, lubricant testing and electronic products.  The Instruments Unit design manufactures and markets products for detection, measurement and testing applications.  This also includes the recently acquired PerkinElmer Analytical Instruments. Analytical Instruments develops, manufactures and markets instruments for the pharmaceutical, food and beverage, environmental, chemical and plastics industries.  Our instruments are critical tools employed in basic and applied research, new product development, and quality control.
